‘Efficient,
Effective and Economic Delivery of Maintenance Services using Mobile
Technologies’: ROCC invited to give a talk at IMBM annual conference
Sept 5, 2005
As a long time supporter of the
Institute of Maintenance and Building Managers (IMBM), ROCC has been invited
to speak at the annual IMBM conference in Bournemouth, Oct 4th – 6th. The
chosen theme for the talk is ‘Efficient, Effective and Economic Delivery of
Maintenance Services using Mobile Technologies’.
Drawing upon many years of
industry knowledge and client case studies, ROCC will illustrate that
achieving productivity targets in the
repairs and maintenance function is
often dependent on combining people with the appropriate technology. The
implementation of
mobile solutions combined with suitable call
centre,
scheduling, finance and stock systems is now key to successful
repairs and
maintenance service delivery.
The speakers - Alan Paget,
Marketing Manager and Peter Lewis, PowerSurvey Business Manager - will
outline how many ROCC customers are using mobile data solutions for
frontline repairs and maintenance staff and that, thanks in part to mobile
technology, these demanding operations now meet many government standards,
such as Decent Homes and the Housing Heath and Rating System.
The ROCC approach to mobile
solutions means that budgets are not wasted on inappropriate technologies
and the benefit of emerging solutions, such as 3G, can be maximised.
The Institute of Maintenance
