“Taking a Fresh Perspective on Technology
to Improve Productivity”: ROCC invited to give a talk at the APSE Annual
Housing and Building Conference 30/31 March 2006
Feb 13, 2006
As a long time supporter of the Association
for Public Service Excellence (APSE), ROCC has been invited to speak at the
APSE Annual Housing and Building Conference on the 30/31 March, Cardiff. The
chosen theme for the talk is ‘Taking a Fresh Perspective on Technology to
Improve Productivity’. Drawing upon many years of industry knowledge, ROCC
will illustrate that increasing productivity in the social housing sector is
often dependent on combining people with the appropriate technology.
The speaker - Alan Paget, Partnership Manager
- will outline how organisations are using technologies such as mobile data,
converged communications and VOIP, 3G, RFID, electronic forms, collaboration
tools, web and wireless solutions for frontline service delivery and meeting
the ‘efficiency agenda’. He will also outline ‘the possible technologies of
tomorrow’ and potential impact on the social housing sector.
ROCC is a UK wide business and has been
supplying the local government and social housing sectors for over thirty
years. The company has three core competencies – IT software solutions, IT
services and telecommunications & consultancy.
The Association for Public Service Excellence
(APSE), formerly the Association of Direct Labour Organisations (ADLO), is
at the forefront of assisting its members in the ongoing implementation and
development of Best Value and the wider modernisation agenda. By promoting
quality public services via networking, the sharing of information and best
practice, the organisation has demonstrated a firm commitment to continuous
improvement within its local government membership (www.apse.org.uk).
