.Net plans for mobile technology solutions
unveiled at social housing customers day, Eastwood Hall, Nottingham.

Industry experts are predicting that mobile
technologies will dramatically improve efficiencies in the management of
social housing organisations. To assist customers in the social housing
sector ROCC organised a seminar to demystify the technology and reveal how
ROCC mobile
solutions deliver real business benefits. Topics covered
included 3G, Smart Phones, Windows Mobile, Pocket PC and the all new .Net
version of one of ROCC’s
mobile data capture solutions (PowerSurvey).
Customers from local authorities, housing
associations, surveying practices and outsource FM/ service companies
gathered at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham on the 20th September 2005. The
seminar consisted of presentations and demonstrations including a plenary
session by the highly acclaimed Chris Goodrich, Socitim’s Business
Development Consultant, on ‘Innovative Technology and the Efficiency
Agenda’.
There were also presentations from customers,
including North Ayrshire Council and Powys County Council, on how they have
used ROCC mobile and ERP solutions to improve productivity in their
repairs
and maintenance operations.
The development plans for the .Net mobile
solution were unveiled at the event. Business Manager, Peter Lewis,
demonstrated new and improved features that included new question types,
screen painting feature, annotation of photographs, intelligent template
sketch, RF tag read and read/write, help pages/screens for the handheld and
page layout view.
