The 2005 John McGregor-Temple computer
prize at The University of Brighton awarded to Ehsan Emami

Ehsan Emami, a student at the
University of Brighton, has won the John McGregor-Temple Computer Prize for
the year 2005 sponsored by ROCC. Ehsan’s project focused on the use of the
programming language JAVA and its application to games. The panel of judges
selected his project because it was innovative in its drawing together of
databases, images and sound.
ROCC’s Marketing Manager,
Alan Paget, presented Ehsan Emami (pictured) with a cheque for £250 and a
certificate at the prize giving ceremony held at the Sallis Benny Theatre in
Brighton.
The prize is awarded annually
to the student who has been judged to produce the best second year project
in the HND course in computing at the University of Brighton. A ROCC
sponsored prize has been awarded to a computer student at the University of
Brighton since 1977.
