ROCC Computers Limited is an Adobe Certified Solution Partner and has achieved “Proven Supplier” status with Planning Portal, for the Adobe PDF Tools Evaluation Project. This is as a result of our development of the integration between the two Adobe Packages to provide an automated process. Added to this we have also developed integration routines enable easy integration to your back end systems. ROCC have already installed and integrated the Adobe PDF Tools at a number of Local Planning Authorities, such as Chorley Borough Council (see full Chorley BC case study).

Converting documents to PDF format and then extending the functionality of the standard Adobe Reader® will allow you to:
Enable the Scale Measuring of Plans within the free Adobe Reader®
The Adobe PDF Tools can enable a PDF document with a free scale measuring tool to appear within the free Adobe Reader®, without the need to download any new software. This allows interested parties to easily measure scale drawings without having to print the documents.

Track Electronic Planning Reviews
The tools offer the ability to mark up and comment on plans using the free Adobe Reader®, where users can either take part in an e-mail based or on-line review of planning applications. Once comments are received they can be stored directly in back end systems for departmental planning reviews to take place.
