Following nine years in HM Royal Marines Andy Firman started his career in waste
management in 1978 and has managed frontline service delivery ever since.
The one, overriding factor that has dominated his career throughout all these
years is the management of change in services, especially, refuse and recycling
services, kerbside collections, commercial waste collection, street cleansing
and toilet cleaning.
Andy
Firman has managed services in both rural and metropolitan communities. His
current assignment is with Cardiff County Council, where he has lead a programme

with the end of Andy’s fixed term contract on 31st March 2007.
